• To sign up for Gmail via the phone number on iOS, you can do is head to Settings. 

• Then, from the list now popped up, select Accounts followed by selecting Add Accounts. 

• From the popped-up list select Google and then select allow when Google asks for permission of signing in.

• Then, select Create Account from the Google sign-up page.

• In the next tab, you will be required to fill up some basic information like your username and password. Once you have entered them tap on Next.

• On the next screen, you can skip the part where you have to enter a phone number. However, make sure that you enter a recovery email. After entering your birth date and gender tap on Next.

• Then, you just have to follow the remaining on-screen prompts and you would have created a  Gmail account without a phone number. 

Create a Gmail Account Without Phone Number: Android

Now, the steps to sign up for a Gmail account without a phone number on Android can be pretty elaborate but yet once you get the hang of it I am sure you will be able to pull it off.

• Start by opening Settings followed by Accounts and then Accounts and Backups.

• Then, if the option of Manage Accounts is showing click on that if not then you can just skip it. 

• Tap on Add Accounts and select Google from the popped-up list.

• Tap on Create Account. 

• Enter your First Name and Last Name and then tap on Next. Now once you have entered your basic information like Gender, etc. you will be required to enter the Gmail address and password for your account. Tap on Next.

• Now, the part comes where you will Add a Phone Number option. In this case, do not skip it. Rather scroll down the button and select More Options. Select No, Don’t add my phone number, and then Tap on Done.
